Client overview
The Digestive Alliance brings together four senior consultants at Apollo Hospitals, Gurugram, each leading a distinct field: Dr. Shrihari Anikhindi in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy, Dr. Zubin Dev Sharma in neurogastroenterology, Dr. Sumit Bhatia in inflammatory bowel disease and Dr. Swapnil Dhampalwar in hepatology. Patients can see them at Apollo by day or, for some, at evening clinics closer to home.
It is also a returning relationship: we had already built the Medigest website for Dr. Anikhindi and The ENT GUT Clinic for Dr. Sharma.
The starting point
Digestive symptoms overlap. Reflux can be a motility problem, Crohn's disease may need advanced endoscopy and an abnormal liver test can point in several directions. Patients searching online had to work out on their own which of four specialists to see, and conference organisers and the medical community had no single place to engage with the group. The Alliance needed one digital home that worked for both audiences.

Strategy and recommendations
- Present four specialists as one alliance, while keeping each doctor's field and expertise clear
- Help patients reach the right specialist first time, which saves repeat tests, time and travel
- Put patient safety first, with a check for warning signs before any recommendation
- Offer both booking routes, Apollo Hospitals by day and evening clinics, without confusion
- Build authority with publications, faculty roles and speaking, for patients and peers alike
What we built
Find the right specialist
A short guided tool that starts with a safety check for warning signs, then matches symptoms to the right field and suggests where and when to consult. Nothing a patient selects is stored.
Specialist profiles
A profile for each doctor with qualifications, training, what they treat and their academic work, plus a page to compare all four.
Booking options
Clear routes to book at Apollo Hospitals or an evening clinic, with click-to-call, directions and a call-back request.
Areas of expertise
Pages for advanced endoscopy, neurogastroenterology, IBD and hepatology, written around the conditions patients search for.
Knowledge Centre
Specialist-led guides that explain conditions, tests and procedures in plain language.
Speaking and academic work
Pages for conference and CME invitations, publications and faculty roles, so organisers can find and invite the right speaker.
The digital setup
Beyond the website, we are setting up the Alliance's complete digital presence, with every channel pointing to the same specialist finder and booking routes. This is an ongoing project, and the work continues as the Alliance grows.
Where it stands
The Digestive Alliance now has one place where patients can find the right specialist, compare training and experience and book, without searching four separate names. The medical community has a single point of contact for speaking and academic work. We will add results here as the project develops.
What a connected next step looks like
With four specialists and several places to consult, the natural next step is routing every call-back request to the right doctor's team automatically, with confirmations and reminders for patients. That is the connected patient workflow described on our healthcare page.
